MSS - Senior Operations Engineer - QRadar

Description

The RedLegg Senior Operations Engineer is a member of the RedLegg Managed Services team. This role is focused on all technical aspects of the initial onboarding and management of the customer’s managed IBM QRadar SIEM solution environment and customer experience with RedLegg Managed Services.  This role will specialize in the design, implementation and management of IBM QRadar solutions. The Senior Operations Engineer will also utilize technical expertise and polite professional etiquette while performing the following duties:

  • Demonstrate leadership in areas of the Customer Service engagement
  • Design and implement customer facing technical project plans
  • Provide high level reports and status to both internal and customer project teams
  • Organize and facilitate technical meetings with the customer
  • Maintain knowledge of industry-wide attacks
  • Provide interpretation and technical security guidance to assist with customer remediation
  • Demonstrate Technical Leadership to both customer and internal parties 
  • Provide mentorship and training to MSS staff
  • Assist with developing internal process and procedures for MSS staff

Skills & Knowledge Requirements:

Must have advanced skills/knowledge in some of the following:

  • Information security

Description

A TradeCraft Labs Senior Security Consultant provides professional security services to RedLegg clients as well as mentoring & training lesser knowledgeable staff.  A Senior Security Consultant advises overall host, application & network security. The Security Consultant will utilize technical expertise and polite professional etiquette while performing the following duties:

  • Understand and operate in accordance with RedLegg service portfolio.
  • Perform and oversee up to 3 current assessments from beginning to end including acknowledgement to client and management; all work as defined by the appropriate methodologies; generation, editing and reporting of deliverables and debriefing with clients.
  • Mentor and assist in development of staff members.
  • Provide advice and guidance on hacking tools and techniques including advance malware detection.
  • Formulate an IT security incident response strategy and implement a method of notifying the necessary parties.
  • Keep up to date with the latest secure coding and cyber-security issues.
  • Support the business with a range of compliance requirements.
  • Identify vulnerable systems and suggest remediation steps.
  • Implement and advise strategies for software and hardware defense.
  • Perform and oversee tasks related to social engineering campaigns.
  • Maintain expert awareness to the latest news threats in the security industry.

  • Windows, UNIX and Linux operating systems.

Senior Pre-Sales Engineer

Description

The Senior Pre-Sales Engineer supports sales productivity by providing technical expertise in proposing solutions that are based on a deep understanding of RedLegg service and product offerings and meet customer needs.

This role collaborates with RedLegg Sales, Technical Delivery Teams and Practice Managers/Directors to ensure proposed deals include technical solutions that accurately address customer needs and are appropriately supported by key customer technical decision-makers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Interacts with customers during and after sales calls.
  • Proactively scopes the technical solutions required to address customer requirements, assesses customers’ met and unmet needs, and recommends solutions that optimize value for both the customer and RedLegg.
  • Adapts solutions, as necessary, to ensure appropriate support.
  • Pursues additional business development opportunities with customers.
  • Works on Statement of Work Templates and adopts content for specific engagements.
  • Conducts internal training for the Sales Team members.
  • Supports Marketing efforts through creation of presentations, case studies and participation in customer-facing events/webinars.
  • Maintains high customer satisfaction ratings that meet RedLegg standards.
  • Completes required training and development objectives within the assigned time frame.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years in an Information Security role.

  • In‐depth knowledge of general security controls.
