A vital component in today’s modern health is Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS) which is integrated throughout a facility to provide access to medical images and data. The overall PACS medical image clarity and being very accessible to its operating room doctors during medical procedures is critical. In addition, being able to position the monitors displaying information (such as x-rays, scans and other medical images) at various positions around patients to aid them during the surgeries and procedures is also mandatory. The NEC LCD3000 with its large form factor gives doctors clarity as well as the ability to zoom in on certain images without compromising the quality of the image. These monitors can be installed with customized Ergotron boom mounts, enabling surgical staff to easily position the displays for optimal accessibility during procedures. The LCD300’s allow a long distance cable feed so that the 20-30 feet of cable can be used for potential flexibility without affecting the image quality. With broadband connectivity and custom laptop setups in the OR rooms, physicians are able to package medical records and medical images and burn them on a CD for patients. In addition to creating a patient record portability solution, these backup records create a disaster contingency and or recovery plan should the PACS system should ever become unavailable. |
